Cities XL
Cities XL is a City building game from former company Monte Cristo. It was advertised as the next generation of city building game but receive a lot of criticism from fans and reviews as the game being incomplete and dull. Game Play in Cities XL is somewhat similar to the game play in most city simulators, you build a city that meets the needs of your citizens. Such needs include the basic, homes, work places, health, security and fire protection well other needs may include leisure, hotels and resources. There are four different types of Citizens that can live in your city: UnSkilled: These are low wealth citizens who require the bare minimum from their mayor. Skilled: Skilled workers have a little more request’s then UnSkilled workers but are required for a beginner city. They are more educated then unskilled and can allow the city to build small offices and small manufactories. Executives: These are more demanding but are required to make a city a success. A lot of them will be needed while in your city, to run the jobs in areas such as offices and industries. Elites: The high class of the citizens who just love to moan. They will complain about anything from the environment to the lack of services, luckily you don’t need much, as most industries that require elites don’t want many. One of the unique features Cities XL brought to the table was their MMO also known as the planet offer, this was part of the game that allowed users to interact which each other, visit each other’s cities, trade which each other and more, but was shut down due to lack of users. See the Planet offer page for more info
