After the Cell stage, the player evolves into a creature in creature stage, this is where the user must turn into a sentient being by befriending or extincting other creatures. As well as this, the player will also need to find food and other parts to evolve.
After becoming sentient, the creature will form into tribes in Tribal Stage. In this stage, the player doesn’t control the one creature, but the whole tribe, giving them task to perform such as collecting food, giving gifts to neighbourhood tribes and domesticating or hunting wild animals. The main task the player must perform is to befriend or destroy neighbourhood tribes.
After completing this level, the creature then evolves into a civilized being, in the Civilization Stage. In this stage the player will again, play all creatures in the game, but instead of each creature separate, the player will control vehicles, boats and aircraft. These will help the player to run task such as collecting spice, killing off epic creatures and befriending or destroying other cities, which is the main task of the game.
After taking over the world, the creature will develop a spaceship, being a start of a big long part of the game, space stage. This stage has no real objective and is more of a sandbox. The player can form new cities on other planets, terraform planets, share spices, abduct creatures, ally or go to war with other civilizations, and quite a bit more.
